Principal's update

Dear Brooke Avenue Public School Community,

Due to the recent Central Coast outbreak we have been asked to reduce number to an absolute minimum.

As of today at 11 am, Brooke Avenue Public School will have no front office staff.

Our school phone: 02 4333 1022 will be diverted. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will do our absolute best to provide the same high-quality service during this period.

The booklet collection point will be outside the front gate.

Unfortunately, we do not have enough staff to man this station.

We are also currently running three classes K-2, 3-6 and Support.

We will need combine some class groups ‘classes’ for students will now be between 20 and 30 students.

Schools have been asked to stress to the community the importance of keeping children at home, wherever possible, and to minimise mobility to stop the spread of the virus. However, schools will remain open for those who need them.

The message we have been asked to share…

"Parents must keep children - of all ages, across primary and secondary schooling and early childcare - home if they can. Students will be supported to learn from home. Schools and early childhood education and care services, including Out Of School Hours Care services are open for any child that needs it. Thank you for your support”

A number of Central Coast locations have been identified as COVID-19 exposure sites associated with the latest confirmed case.

Locations include Tuggerah Westfield, Lake Haven Shopping Centre, Northlakes Shopping Centre, H&R Block Toukley, Coles San Remo, etc.

Please check the NSW Government website regularly, as the list of venues of concern and relevant health advice are being updated as investigations continue: https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/.../case-locations-and...

Anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms is urged to immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

Mr Dalkeith
